Use this when you want one background music track to play behind the entire project, not just a short selected section.
Before you start
Open a project that has finished transcribing.
Choose the music or audio file you want to use.
Use desktop Chrome or Firefox for the most reliable editing and export experience.
Steps
Open the project in the Trebble Editor.
Select the whole transcript. If keyboard shortcuts work in your browser, Command+A or Ctrl+A can help; otherwise drag/select from the start of the transcript to the end.
Click the background audio or Insert Element control for the selection.
Choose a track from the music library, uploads, or workspace assets.
Add the track as background audio.
Open the background music settings and enable loop or match-duration controls if the music is shorter than the project.
Preview the beginning, middle, and end of the project before exporting.
Adjust the mix
Lower the background music volume if it competes with speech.
Use lower volume during speech when you want the voice to stay clear while music plays behind it.
Turn lower volume during speech off if the music should stay at the same level throughout the project.
If something goes wrong
If music only plays for part of the project, confirm the entire transcript was selected before adding it and enable loop or match-duration controls.
If music disappears after export, preview the full project, reapply the background audio, and export again.
If you use uploaded music, confirm the asset is still available in the active workspace.
