Find filler words

Find filler words such as um and uh in a Trebble transcript.

Use Find filler words when you want to quickly locate common verbal fillers and decide which ones to remove.

Steps

  1. Open a transcribed project in the editor.

  2. Click AI Tools.

  3. Choose Find filler words (um, uh...).

  4. Use the results to move through each highlighted filler word.

  5. Remove only the filler words you want to cut.

  6. Play back the surrounding sentence to make sure the edit sounds clean.

Good to know

  • Some filler words may be intentional or part of a speaker's style. Review before bulk-removing.

  • Transcript accuracy affects which words are found.

If something goes wrong

  • If a filler word is missed, correct the transcript spelling first, then search again.
